Ristipistoviikonloppu / Stitching weekend

Pari viikkoa sitten osallistuin Emmulin järjestämään ristopistoviikonloppuun. Viikonloppu oli täynnä pistelyä, naurua, vanhojen ja uusien tuttujen tapaamista, hyvää ruokaa, hieman shoppailuakin... Aivan täydellistä! Annetaan kuvien kertoa enemmän.

Couple of weeks ago I participated in a stitchers' weekend organised by Emmuli. The weekend was full of stitching, laughter, meeting old and new friends, delicious food, and some shopping... Quite perfect! But let the photos tell more.

Viikonloppu vietettiin Wuolteen kartanolla

Moni toi mukanaan omia/saamiaan pistelyjä, ja saimmekin aikaiseksi melkoisen näyttelyn :)

Many of us had brought some finished projects along, and we we able to arrange quite a show :)

Saimme myös opetusta silkkinauhakirjonnassa. Ylin kuva on opettajan, Arja-Leena Sibelius-Luhtalan, kauniista töistä, alemmassa meidän harjoituksiamme.

A silk ribbon embroidery expert,Arja-Leena Sibelius-Luhtala, came to guide us on silk ribbon embroidery. The upper photo shows her beautiful projects, the lower one our practice works.

Saimme Emmulin tervetulopakkauksessa Kirsin Pariisista messumatkalta tuomat tarvikkeet neulatyynyyn. Aika monta tyynyä viikonvaihteessa valmistuikin (minun tekemäni on alarivissä vasemmalla).

We received a welcome package from Emmuli, containing materials for a pin cushion. Quite many cushions were finished during the weekend (mine is on the the left at the bottom row).

I also got some stitches on Amelie

Lisäksi pistelin DMC:n ihastuttavan Bamboo and Butterfly -mallin, jonka sitten kotona viimeistelin (Virpin ja Mian viikonvaihteessa antamia vinkkejä käyttäen) pikkutyynyksi. Siitä tuli kerrassaan ihastuttava!

I also stitched a lovely DMC design Bamboo and Butterfly, which I then finished at home (using useful tips received during the weekend from Virpi and Mia) as a small cushion. It turned out quite lovely!

Viikonloppu / Weekend

Viime viikonloppu kului mukavasti ja erittäin nopeasti Violariumin ristipistoviikonloppua viettäessä Ikaalisissa, Kauppilan matkailutilalla. Oli niin mukava päästä tapaamaan kanssapistelijöitä; pistellä, rupatella, nauraa, ihastella, nauraa, viimeistellä, shoppailla, nauraa... Kuvat kertokoot lisää.

The past weekend went by so fast and was so lovely, as I spent it here at Violarium's Stitching weekend . It was so nice meet fellow stitchers; to stitch, chat, laugh, admire, laugh, finish, shop, laugh... Let the pictures tell more.

Shopping

Runsaista ostoksista osakiitos Outille, joka oli erittäin kannustava :-) Niin, ja oikeassa yläkulmassa näkyvät LizzieKate-mallit sain Pikeltä ja Pentikin paketin Kirsiltä. / My haul, others were bought at site, except the LizzieKate designs on the upper right hand corner, which Pike gave to me and the Pentik package which Kirsi gave to me.

(Nämä tilasin ennen viikonloppua, ne toimitettiin paikan päälle. Koskahan pääsisin aloittamaan... / These I ordered before the weekend, and got them delivered for the weekend.  I wonder when I'll be able to start this one...)

Tervetulopaketti / Welcome gifts

(paitsi sakset, jotka ostin sekä saksikoriste, jonka olen saanut vaihdossa; kuvasta puolestaan puuttuu yksi lankatokka, jonka otin käyttöön jo viikonloppuna :-) / except for the scissors, which I bought and the scissor fob, which I have received in an exchange; one skein of floss is missing, I already used it during the weekend)

Chatelainen Japanese Garden Mandala -mallista, viimeistelty koristeeksi, lahja Outille, ihan vain siksi, että hän mukisematta vastaanotti alkuvuodesta useamman vaihdon minulta :-) / Part of Chatelaine's Japanese Garden Mandala, finished as an ornament, a present for Outi, just because she received so many exchanges from me earlier this year :-)

Stitching weekend

Last weekend I participated in Violarium's Stitching Weekend. What fun it was! It was so nice to see fellow stitchers, and meet people familiar from the blogging world. Lilian Kok from the Netherlands was there to teach us, and she had designed a tin top and a scissor case for us to stitch and finish.

Thank you Leena, for organizing the weekend! And thank you, Lilian, for such beautiful designs, and teaching us new techniques! And thank you, fellow stitchers, we had so much fun together! It was great to meet you all!

I stitched the tin top, but did not finish it yet (will do that on Saturday).
This will be a mother's day present, for my mother.

Aapo stayed the weekend with my parents. Apparently he had a good weekend, too. He was so tired when he came home...

Aapo oli hoidossa vanhempieni luona. Ilmeisesti silläkin oli mukava viikonloppu, se oli aivan poikki kun se tuli takaisin kotiin...
