And here are the last five of my 15 CJC wips.

11. Kello. Tämä Provence-aiheinen kello olisi jo syytä saada valmiiksi ja keittiön seinälle. Aika paljon tästä vielä puuttuu, mutta kunhan intoa riittää niin eiköhän tämäkin tämän vuoden puolella sinne seinälle saada. Paketissa oli kellokoneisto ja kehys mukana, joten kunhan pistely valmistuu, valmistuu myös koko kello :-)

11. Clock. This Provence-themed clock should finally be finished, it has a place waiting on the kitched wall. There's quite a lot to stitch, but I'm hoping for a finish this year. The kit has also the frame and the clock machinery, so once the stitching is done, the clock will be on the wall in no time :-)

12. Deepest Love. Jollen aivan väärin muista, tämä Mirabilian malli on aloitettu viisi vuotta sitten tammikuussa. Tämäkin on jo niin hyvällä mallilla, että kunhan sen seuraavan kerran käteeni otan, teen sen sitten valmiiksi.

12. Deepest Love. If I remember correctly, I started this Mirabilia design five years ago, in January. I think that the next time I pick this up, I'll finish it :-)

13. Egypte mysteriéuse. Isa Vautierin ihana malli vaatii vielä paljon pistoja, mutta on suhteellisen sujuva pistellä, kun se käyttää vain kahta väriä, ja niistä sitä toista lähinnä korostuksiin. 

13. Egypte mysteriéuse. This Isa Vautier's lovely design is missing plenty of stitches, but it is relatively fast to stitch as it uses only two colours, of which the other is mostly for highlighting.

14. Japanese Octagon Box. Tämän Chatelainen mallin laatikko-osa on jo pistelty, mutta haluan saada valmiiksi myös saksikotelon ja saksikoristeen ennen kuin uskaltaudun laatikon kokoamiseen. Ai niin, ja laatikon kansikin täytyy varmaan pistellä...

14. Japanese Octagon Box. This Chatelaine design is only lacking the scissor keep and scissor fob, the box part is finished already. Oh, I think I need to stitch the lid as well...

15. J'arrive. Tämä Tournicotonin malli on hädintuskin aloitettu (toistaiseksi pistelty tasan kaksi kertaa), mutta onhan tässä vielä reippaasti aikaa ensi jouluun...

Nämä 15 keskeneräistä työtä siis yritän saada valmiiksi tämän vuoden aikana. Olen nämä kerännyt koriin olohuoneen pöydälle, ja siitä nappaan inspiraation mukaan työn käteeni. Osana Emmulin siivoustalkoita tarkoitus olisi saada hieman nätimpi kori vapaaksi näille töille, ja osana haastetta on tietysti myös keskeneräisten töiden määrän vähentäminen, niin että saisin kaikki ko. työt nätisti esille (eli siis tyrkylle). Ensimmäinen on muuten valmistumassa tänään...

So these are the 15 wips I will try to finish this year. I have them in a basket on the living room table where I can pick up the one that's screaming the loudest. I will continue to organize my stash, and if successful, a prettier basket will be left free and changed for wips. First one of the wips will be finished today, not many stitches left to do...

Ristipistohassutus, aloitus 1 / Crazy January Challenge, start 1

Okei, tässä on vain kuva siitä millainen ensimmäisenä aloitetusta hassutustyöstä pitäisi tulla. Kamera ja minä emme ole samassa paikassa, joten kuvaus jää huomiseen. Tämä on siis Mirabilian Miss New Year's Fairy (mikäpä sen paremmin sopikaan tammikuun ensimmäisen päivän aloitukseksi :-). Parin tunnin verran olen pistellyt neidin mekkoa, ja pieni läntti siitä on valmiina (kellon ja vitjojen yläpuolelta tuo vaalea osuus).

Well, okay, the camera and I are not in the same place at the moment, so the actual start picture will have to wait until tomorrow. But this is what I started, Mirabilia's Miss New Year's Fairy (can there be a better start for January 1 :-) I've stitched her for a couple of hours and finished part of her dress (the light part above the clock and the chain).

Hupsista, mitenkäs tuosta edellisestä päivityksestä onkin jo noin pitkä aika. Ilmeisesti aika kuluu vauhdilla kun on hauskaa... Tässä kuussa olen nimittäin pistellyt läpi tuossa wip-listallani olevia töitä, kolmanneksi viimeisen kimpussa olen parhaillaan (pieniä töitä ei oteta lukuun), ja onkin ollut toki mukava päästä käsiksi kaikkiin näihin töihin. Tässä tilannekuvat tähän mennessä pistellyistä. Vasemmalla tilanne ennen ja oikealla jälkeen. Lisätietoja joka kuvan yläpuolella. Kuvat muuten saa klikkaamalla suuremmiksi.

Whoops, but it's been quite a while since the last update. Time sure flies when you're having fun... I've been stitching the projects in my wip list this months, I'm at the third last of the list (the small ones not counted), and I've enjoyed so much stitching them all after a shorter or longer while. Deepest Love update

I continued stitching Deepest Love for a few days and then moved on to the Egyptian Garden, as there's a SAL on the Chatelaine BB every month. I'll show you my progress on that after the weekend.

WIPs, and a start and a finish...

Here's the current progress on the WIPs I've been working on recently. There's also a finish, and another start, too...

Here's Damier, part 4. This is such a lovely design and I really enjoy stitching it:


Today I finished part 4 of Chatelaine's fifth Christmas Mystery:


And then I started, finally, Chatelaine's big mystery for this year, the Celtic Mystery, and here's the very first WIP pic :-)


After a long while, I also did some knitting. This lovely Möbius-scarf was easy and quick to knit. The yarn is Kitten Mohair (by SandnesGarn). The design has been published in the Finnish online knitting magazine Ulla:


Now I need to start packing, as I'll be heading to the land of the Pharaohs next week (yay!). See you later!

January Starts

Better late than never, right? :-)

I had several new starts in January, participating thus in the Guilt Free January. It actually happened by chance. First new start was Chatelaine’s White Nights in St. Peterburg on New Year’s Day (stitched on Sugar Maple Fabrics' Angel Kisses):

After finishing the first part, I started Damier, the freebie that Maryse will release over the course of the year. The fabric is Silkweaver’s Spanish Moss:

And when the first part was finished, I started Chatelaine’s Sweete Bag. I stitch it on black Belfast, and after finishing part 1, I decided to take a break, as the black fabric is very demanding on my eyes.

I then started a clock with a Provencal theme. By that time I realized that I had already made several new starts and decided that January really should be Guilt Free January. So I decided to finish the numbers and what comes inside the numbers (stitched on 36ct linen):

After that I started Chatelaine’s Christmas Mystery V. I found English Rose Jazlyn (28ct) in my stash and it was perfect for this:

Second to last new start was The Fortunate Traveler (on 32ct Belfast).

No more progress on the Traveler, as I needed to start Deepest Love, on the last day of January. This is the first progress pic after the first day and first hour of stitching :) The fabric is, if memory serves correctly, Silkweaver's Ocean Fantasy:

I really enjoyed starting all these. Some of them have been waiting a long time to make it on my WIP list. I'll share more progress pics on Christmas Mystery V, Damier and Deepest Love later.
